My research efforts have been mainly concentrating in mathematical modelling of ecological systems and processes.

• climate change impact on the vegetation;
• modelling the net primary production;
• the mathematical models of carbon flux for terrestrial ecosystems;
• the mathematical models of nitrogen turnover;
• the mathematical models of methane flux;
• mathematical models of plant successions;
• stochastic weather models;
• dynamic models of the global vegetation pattern.
