METHANE EMISSION FROM WEST SIBERIAN TUNDRA MIRES

Summary

The paper presents experimental data on the methane fluxes from West Siberian tundra mires in summer and winter periods. The possibility of the methane adsorption by the snow cover is discussed. The regional flux from the whole region is estimated with the "standard model" Bc7 as 0.16 MtCH4/year that accounts for around 5 % of the total West Siberian mires methane emission.
