STOCHASTIC SIMULATION OF DAILY PRECIPITATION AND DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURES

Summary À method of simulating daily precipitation and daily mean surface air temperature is considered. The proposed algorithm is based on the simulation of dry and wet periods and on the method of inverse functions. The method is used to generate model time series of daily values of the precipitation amount and mean air temperature on the basis of data from weather stations located in different natural climatic zones. The time series of these climatic parameters simulated by the proposed stochastic generator are statistically adequate to the observed data series. Download (PDF) |
